This is an ideal place for relaxing, away from the coast. It is perfect for those who would enjoy the peace and charm of this old world Spanish village. Many picturesque "pueblos blancos" are only a short drive away, each with their own individual character, and there are many sites of historical interest worth seeing.

The whole area is a paradise for birdwatchers and botanists. Walking is one of the most popular pastimes and there are numerous tracks starting from Montejaque scattered all over the surrounding mountains and countryside, giving ample opportunity to enjoy the spectacular scenery.

For those who prefer to be more active there are plenty of sports and leisure activities in the area.

Montejaque is in a good location for visiting the major cities of Seville, Cordoba and Granada. All can be visited on a (long) day trip.
